ER: Hitting head can cause a variety of conditions You don't say how hard, what circumstances loss of consciousness. I would see a physician and have this checked. Any change in wakefulness, nausea, dizziness, vision changes should get you to the ER pronto. I recommend you go to the ER since you believe this nagging headache is related to the injury
