Probably normal: Noses come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are influenced by the shape and size of the parents and extended family. Do you or the father of the baby have a wide nose? Do the grandparents? The shape of a nose is not usually a cause for concern but you should talk to your doctor if your child has difficulty breathing, increased work of breathing, noisy breathing, or persistent nasal congestion

Probably it is: unusual to have any thing wrong with the nose at this early age. I would think you would notice if things were grossly abnormal when the baby came out. let the pediatrician examine it next time you bring him for routine shots.

Varies over time: The contents/structure of an infants face differ significantly from that of an adult. The mid-face, which is comprised primarily of the upper lip and nose, will gradually move forward faster than the eyes move outward. The near flat brow to chin silhouette of babies changes to the nose forward one of the adult. What you may see as wide can be a normal part of this process. Some ethnic groups R wider
