What is better for pain after shoulder surgery: lorcet (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) or percocet?

Depends: Lorcet (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) contains hydrocodone and Percocet contains oxycodone, two different opiates. On a purely mg to mg basis, oxycodone is usually stronger but different people react to different opiates differently. If it were me i would start with percocet. You might also the anesthesiologist ask for an "interscalene block" which can give dramatic pain relief for the first day or so.

Both are good.: The active ingredients in Percocet are oxycodone and acetaminopehn. The active ingredients in locet are hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Both are good for pain management after shoulder surgery. Given equivalent doses, Percocet is a stronger, more potent pain reliever.
