I am a proponent: of following guidelines. Cautions are usually built in for a good, even if unlikely, reason. The only reason I can think of for worrying about whether you are "clear" at 8 weeks vs 12 weeks is that you can quit worrying sooner. What else would you be doing differently? At eight weeks you can be VERY reassured if your HIV test is negative ... believe that and move forward SAFELY. Good wishes:)
