Muscle spasm: I assume that the child is alert and active, eating, sleeping and playing normally. There should be no vomiting and mom should be able to assess pupil reaction. As long as they are the same size and his injury was several days ago, I would give him ibuprofen for 24 hours every 6 hours and if he did not seem to improve should be taken to his pediatrician.
