Get it chrcked: Right side pain just above the hip starting spontaneously without any trauma needs to be checked, Did you do any exertion. Like moderate to severe exercise or other activities. Then it is probably muscular pain. But pain in back above the hip under the ribs and radiating to groin can be due to Kidney or ureteric stones. In those cases there may be blood or difficulty in urination.Get it checked
