No real danger.: Some times ganglions suddenly disappear and sometime they become permanent residents. When the ganglion enlarges, it applies pressure to some soft tissue structures. This pressure can cause pain and even have an effect on normal function. If the ganglion becomes a problem, then have it removed. If it seems to come and go, then you can certainly afford to wait and decide later.
