See MD ASAP: See your MD ASAP. These things are not to be ignored. Any swelling in the armpit area can be indication of serious condition. Coupled with breast swelling and shooting pain -- not good. Get in there ASAP -- this means tomorrow -- take off work if needed. If no appt at MD then get to ER. Be sure to tell MD office about duration , location , spread and PAIN. Best of Luck.

See Your PCP: Any swollen lumpy areas in the armpit that does not resolve itself in two-three weeks should be evaluated by your doctor.
