No one seems to know: I did some research and couldn't really find a good answer. I found lots of other people who asked this and various opinions expressed, but ultimately could not find a single scientific study on this. It's certainly possible it might, though many regular marijuana users don't have any problems and many who don't have irregular periods. You could stop for a few months to see if it gets better.

Better to quit: marijuana as it has been proven to destroy the memory centers of the brain and create a dementia like state especially when you smoke a lot and at a young age. No one knows how it affects the menstrual cycle.
