Dr, is it normal to have swelling or injection area becoming solid after injection from inside? sometimes small bleeding also.. preg 14 weeks. clexane

Clexane: like other injectable anti-coagulants (anti-clotting) medications often do cause a small amount of local bleeding uder the skin which forms a "hematoma" (mass) which evolves into a hard mass. Apply ICE fore the first 48 hours then HEAT may help resolve this. BTW some external bruising may be noted! Hope this helps! Dr Z
