Caution advised: The highest recurrence rate of PE and DVT is in the first 3 weeks. Your symptoms are atypical for Xarelto side effects. I assume you had a PE with a calf vein source for the clot. The clot is not "gone" it is broken up and further downstream. This will give you shortness of breath and the original clot will give you calf pain. Discuss this with your doctor but stopping the Xarelto now is unwise.
