Neuropathy &/or PAD: Two common conditions that effect the legs can occur with diabetes. Neuropathy: nerve damage that typically causes numbness, tingling, and burning in the feet & peripheral arterial disease: blocked arteries in the legs that can cause muscle pain with walking and can contribute to diabetic foot ulcers and poor wound healing. Also consider muscle pain from statin drugs to treat high cholesterol.
