Yes: Diabetics are at increased risk of peripheral neuropathy, which can manifest with numbness, tingling, sharp pain, warm or cold feeling, or loss of sensation. It is directly related to the control of blood sugar and number of years with diabetes. Have your doctor check your hemoglobin a1c and do a neurological exam.
