Ct scan shows diverticulitis Gi advised sigmoidoscopy to check narrowing of colon could it be cancer as been told only scoping can confirm difference?
Abdominal x-ray showed colon thickening. Colonoscopy came back fine. No diverticulitis, etc. Could the X-ray have been wrong or what could have been seen on x-ray that colonoscopy missed? This was x-ray and not a CT. GI did not appear concerned?
No diverticula found on colonoscopy. GI says could still be present on outside of colon and only seen on CT. May be source of LLQ pain. Is this right?
I read that 85% of colon cancer comes from polyps 15% not. What does the GI doc due for the 15%? HPV that can be cancerous tend to be in polyps? Can CT w contrast Abd/Plvs pic up 2cm or larger polyps?
