My lower left ankle, around the acl, has been in pain since a long run i did. however, i'm very young and not injury prone. what's going on?

Note sure: ACL is in your knee so not sure what area of your ankle is giving you pain. The old stand bys of ice, rest, elevation and compression (supportive wrap) are always a good place to start. Using an OTC NSAID like ibuprofen or naproxen also helpful if no reason not to take them (allergy to med, ulcers in stomach, etc). Lay off the running for a week. If no better or worse, see doctor.
