DVT: Pain or tenderness is only one sign of a blood clot. Other signs include swelling, redness, and risk factors such as recently being on a long flight, taking oral contraceptives, recent surgery requiring you to be in bed for a prolonged time, varicose veins, or trauma to the area. A blood clot is always possible, but less likely if pain is the only symptom and no risk factors. Hope this helps.
