My 15 yr daughter got a blood clot behind her knee a week ago. its very sore and she struggles to walk on her leg. the skin colour is darker. this morning both sides and front ribs are sore when she coughs. also sore throat and blisters on tongue. ?

Another option: Coughing with chest wall pain is commonly due to Musculoskeletal pain. Apply local heat to the rib cage and use Motrin to control the pain. She will need a D Dimer test and evaluation of her knee, cough and sore throat. The latter two symptoms may be due to a viral illness. Monitor her temperature, rest and fluids are suggested. Please see Pediatric urgent care or the Emergency room.
