Migraine variant: is a possibility. It is interested that your pain is on one side of your neck. Migraine headaches typically occur on one side of your head, but the pain is usually in the temporal area. Migraines are commonly precipitated by bright lights and can also occur in response to hunger or low blood sugar. For more info see: http://understandingmigraine.blogspot.com/
