I woke up three days ago with dark spots on both thighs that look like small bruises. there are a total of 17-20 spots, what could this be?

Spots: Purpuric spots are bleeding under the skin with diameter lessr than 1 cm . Most commonly, it coould be harmless caused by unnoticed trauma but may be harbinger of more serious diseases such as ITP, and hemophilia. If it doesn't resolve or you get more eruptions see your doctor.
