Ruptured TM: Ruptured tympanic membrane (eardrum) can be painful. See http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/ruptured-eardrum/basics/definition/con-20023778 for more info. As always, if you don't receive expected benefit from medication or suffer from potential side effect, contact prescribing doc. In this case, you may need more (stronger) pain meds. And get checked out for potential infection, too.
