Chlamydia antibody: Your blood test results are consistent with your past chlamydial infection. However, the blood test only detects antibody (the immune response to infection), not chlamydia itself. Once positive, the IgG blood test is positive for many years, often for life. To know if you currently have chlamydia, you'll need another PCR-type test from the vagina or a urine specimen.
