Viral illness.: Assuming they considered meningitis and ruled it out clinically, this sounds like a viral illness with arthralgias and lymph node enlargement, which would be expected with a viral illness. Lymphocytes fight off viral infections, so an elevation of such in your blood would be expected as well.
