Treat it: Your dentist will personally examine you and along with x-rays of the area determine exactly what's wrong and suggest treatment before actually rendering treatment. Discuss this with your parent or guardian and see a dentist as soon as possible. Early treatment is less costly and simpler.

Diagnosis& treatment: It would take another 10 years of education to know as much as your Dentist. "Splitting & aching" are symptoms, not diagnosis. Please let your Dentist examine you to determine the cause of your pain, then he/she can discuss appropriate treatment choices with you and your parent/guardian. Don't wait, the problem will only get worse (more pain, more complex and more costly to treat. Call now.

Exam and x-rays: If you experience any of the above listed symptoms, it is important to see a dentist for exam and x-rays even if the pain subsides. Do not delay.

Examine it: This is the first step to developing a diagnosis and treatment plan. Once that is in hand, there will be treatment options for you to consider. Once a decision is made, appropriate care should solve the problem!
