Home remedies : I'm glad you have a dental appointment. I would call your dentist and explain the severity of your problem and try to get an emergency appointment. At home you can try tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil for pain. Cold may help your pain or make it worse. Heat may do the same. Tooth ointment may help. Good luck.

Find other dds: If your dentist can't/won't see you after you tell his office staff that you have agonizing pain, then there's something wrong! find a dental office who will see you same day. Meanwhile, if you have no allergies, take 3 advil + 3 tylenol (acetaminophen) with 16 oz. Water and some food. Thais can be repeated every 8 hours, as needed for pain.

Get referral: I would find a referral to an endodontist asap . They set asides time in their schedules to handle this daily. There is no need for you to wait and suffer.
