Who's counting?: If one sees no obvious bad effects on one's happiness and health, then there's no need to count. If one is always counting, then he can count on there being a problem (not of the physical kind). Thrice is fine, whether it's thrice a day, thrice a week, or thrice a month. Thrice an hour is even fine, although continuing at that rate for more than an hour can be too much (everything in moderation!).
