Not sure of rational: I ain't sure of the rationale behind this advice. Generally, by flying, u don't get exposed to radiation (either in flight, nor in screening) that interferes w/ the PET scan. However, if u get a PET scan & THEN try to board a plane or cross the border, the radiation detectors might go off... in which case u might have to explain to authorities & offer proof of recent PET scan. Best to wait ~24hrs!
