Oral Herpes: Oral herpes, known as "cold sores" is activated by a herpes virus. The virus is activated during an infection, sunlight, stress. You can't make them go away forever. They usually spontaneously resolve. Depending on how often you have these episodes, your doctor can prescribe a pill or topical cream for treatment.
