Not syphilis: Syphilis is rare in heterosexuals in Canada, especially in the Vancouver area; is rarely transmitted by kissing, especially dry kissing; and a chancre would not appear as a pimple-like sore. You might just have a pimple, or maybe oral herpes (cold sore). Whatever it is, you didn't catch it from the kiss.
