DUB: It sounds like dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) which often results from hormonal imbalances during menstrual cycle. Sometimes "lumpy" menses (presume more clots!) results and no ovulation. DUB is treated by trying to regulate the hormones. You don't mention contraception, but DUB is often treated by birth control pills for ongoing regulation of hormones. Pregnancy should be excluded.
