A Neuralgia: Anterior thigh pain that comes and goes is likely a soft tissue problem and meralgia paresthetica is a good bet. See a Neurologist. The cause is oft related to wearing a tight waistband or wide firm belt that presses into the anterior thigh and bruises a nerve that transits longitudinally along the anterior thigh.
