My hips hurts whenever i do a lot of walking/standing. if i try to lay flat on my back on the floor it feels as though it pops out of place and hurts until i pop it back. sometimes it hurts from the top of the bone down my leg, what could cause it?

you might have a biomechanical imbalance that being one leg longer than the other or possibly a pelvic rotation causing one to leg to function as if longer than the other. exercise strengthening the muscles and stretching the muscles very important Also using orthotics therapy with a possible lift. A podiatrist can help you.

Please have a complete physical exam to determine if you have a problem with your hip. An Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in hips can give you a complete physical exam and make recommendations for treatment.

Agree with Dr Trantallis. Additional help from orthotics, perhaps heel lift, and sacroiliac support belt? Maybe a course of physical therapy?
