Low risk: Internal bleeding is more likely to happen with injury to the liver and spleen, and they are fairly protected by the ribs. There have been reports of bruising to the pancreas and stomach with impact with bike handlebars while falling or a swung bat, and in those situations, there is a vague discomfort that persists after the initial blow and would cause indigestion and nausea and pain.

Seek care if pain: Toddlers can pack a wallop! If you still have pain, or increasing pain, or new symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, it is best to be evaluated by a physician. However, toddler kicks rarely cause internal bleeding. If you feel well now, and stay that way, please don't worry. If you don't feel well, or are getting worse, see a doctor right away.
