4 hours is adequate: A blow to the stomach(belly) is not likely to cause bleeding in the stomach. If you had bleeding internally you will feel weak or feel faint and not be able to eat or keep your food down. So if you are free from nausea, vomiting, fever or any distention of the abdomen and able to eat, you are going to be fine after 24-48 hours..
