Unclear: there are many causes of diarrhea, such as food poisoning, infections, food intolerances, hormonal disorders, medicine side effects, inflammation, etc. Although most resolve on own, would seek MD evaluation if w blood, fever, nausea/vomit, pain, or continued diarrhea >3-5 days
