70 - 100 = normal.: According to American Diabetes Association (ADA): fasting blood sugar: 70 - 100 = normal 101 - 125 = prediabetes 126 or higher = diabetes hemoglobin A1C: 5.0 - 5.6 = normal 5.7 - 6.4 = prediabetes 6.5 or higher = diabetes Many blood lab reports say normal glucose (sugar) = 70 - 120 but this is not currently accurate.
