Need new physician: You may well have a high insulin level if you are in a pre-diabetic state, but I'm not sure why a reasonable Physician would measure your insulin level if your blood sugar is normal, unless it's to try and show you that you are at risk of diabetes later! Still unusual way Of practice! Either there is more to this than you have stated, or someone is milking the system ordering unneeded tests! Se
