Low iron, my doc put me on ferrous sulphate 200mg 3x a day for 3 months, is this a high dose? i can't get to talk to doc to see how low i actually am

Typical dose: The dose you describe is rather standard. Some advise 325mg ferrous sulfate three times a day. I usually advise only 325mg once a day unless anemia is quite severe as higher doses tend to cause constipation.
