It is not a lot: The stated dosage given 2x/day is typical and not considered high/much. Many use 3x/day but can't take because of constipation issue. Anemia is more common in menstruating females because of their monthly loss. So, iron deficiency in 22 old guy is a bit unusual. I would discuss/ask doc as to why you have this problem at your age. Nevertheless, 2x/day is not high. Consult doc. Good luck.
