Velscope: The Velscope is a hand-held oral cancer screening device. It gives no information about cysts. Please consider seeing a specialist, an Oral Surgeon, for a definitive diagnosis and treatment options. Any recurring oral lesions should be evaluated.

Velscope oral cancer screen shows black spots on throat. Oral surg and ENT say they don't see anything/no symptoms, so won't do anything. Is there a protocol for early dx/positive Velscope? By definition, screening occurs with no symptoms. Confused.
