See you dr: If your blood pressure is consistently this high you need to see your primary dr to evaluate and determine the cause for your high blood pressure. Blood pressure this high definitely needs to be treated (treatment should be dictated by underlying cause). There is not likely to be any major adverse effect in the short term, but long term elevation will damage blood vessels in heart, brain, kidney
