Temporary: A Temporary Cap is just that, temporary. After a very short period of time (months at most) the integrity of the crown and the seal to the tooth begins to deteriorate. Leakage can cause decay of the root canal treated tooth and thereby possible loss of the tooth. Leakage can result in sinus infection. You should be evaluated by General Dentist, Endodontist, & ENT. This is serious. Get help.

See Dentist: If it has not broken down and leaked already, you may still be ok. Typically the tooth will be at a very high risk for fracture and loss of seal and re infection. You may have been extremely lucky. Important to see your Dentist to check this and complete treatment with definitive restoration. Good luck.
