Suggestions: Poison ivy is a delayed reaction of the skin to the oil of the plant. That's why it looks like it spreads - but it doesn't. Rash just appears at different times depending on when it was exposed. If you have showered since the exposure then the oil is gone. I try to avoid steroids unless wide spread and feeling miserable.
