A member asked:

I have afib and i'm 55. i was told by my cardiologist that it will continue to get worse. does this limit my lifespan? i am confused.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: Atrial fibrillation is usually a progressive disorder. Spells tend to become more frequent and last longer as one ages. If you follow your doctors' advice and take the medications that are prescribed, it won't limit your lifespan.
