A member asked:

Hello, i have consulted cardiologist, even done ecg test, hdl/ldl cholesterol test, which was normal, however i cant explain why is my heart rate always above 100bpm when consuming tea/coffee/alcohol, it scares me, is this normal?

It is well within the normal heart rate pattern for your age. Tea and coffee have stimulants (caffeine) that increase the heart rate. Alcohol is can relax or increase the mood or corresponding heart rate depending on your individual situation. I don't consider the issue worrisome.

It probably has to do with your sensitivity to caffeine, try decaf drinks, coffee or tea, to see if they cause the same effects. Next would be to alter their temperature in case no answer with decreasing caffeine content.
