No: Radiology orders are very specific. A renal ultrasound looks at kidneys, ureters, and bladder (and nothing else). And don't hope that they will give you an "oh, by the way, we noticed an ovarian cyst while we were looking around)." if you want a gyn evaluation, you have to order a pelvic ultrasound! these people are very picky! call quickly to get what you want ordered!

No - different: Anatomy. A renal scan will look at your kidneys, the area around them, the urinary bladder and ureters if visible (dilated). It will not look at your other pelvic organs - uterus and ovaries. You would need another ultrasound examination for that - generally a transabdominal and transvaginal pelvic ultrasound.
