It depends...: A person who swallows a small hard object such as a piece of bone, and then continues to eat solid food without problems... need not worry. If he was able to eat foods like bread or meat afterwards, then he knows the small hard object is in his stomach. Small bones that get in the stomach just get pooped out with the regular poop... unless you are really, really unlucky. So, generally, no worries.
