Crying or blues?: Crying itself will not harm the baby. If however, you notice that you are sad most of the time, feel hopeless, without energy and are having difficulty getting your daily activities done, please discuss with your family doctor or obstetrician. Perinatal depression can be serious and can indirectly affect the baby.
