A member asked:

Does crying hurt the baby during pregnancy? can the baby feel when i'm upset? does crying effect the baby growth or effect the baby an any way?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Your emotions don't have any overt affect on the baby other than the fact that when you're sad a lot you may not feel like eating properly. Pregnancy is a very emotional time for most women. A good cry can be helpful as well in letting out some of that emotion and stress.
