I ate shrimp on saturday night. today tuesday , i woke with a mild case of hives. could it be from the shrimp, this same thing happened the last time i ate shrimp. i do not have a thyroid and wonder if the iodine in the shrimp is causing this problem?

Shrimps and hives: Having hives 4 days after eating shrimps, hard to be related, although it happened to you twice , again 4 days after exposure, can still be a coincidence. I would avoid shrimps for now, just a precaution, see an allergist for the recurrent hives, keep cetirizine or loratadine handy in caseyou develop hives right after accidental exposure, check aaaai.org or acaai.org for an allergist in your area
