Highly unlikely: You may be referring to animal studies whereby sheep were fed kale exclusively and often developed goiters. However, if kale smoothies are a part of your diet (as they are mine and many of my patients), you should be just fine. Same with spinach and romaine (though the latter is not as nutritious). If still concerned, get complete thyroid studies: TSH, free T3 (liothyronine) & T4 through your primary doc
